李光林，生于辽宁省辽阳市。现定居北京，职业画家。1984年考入鲁迅美术学院油画系。1996年至1998年在中央美术学院油画研修班学习深造。现为中国美术家协会会员、辽宁美术家协会会员。
李光林是中国油画界少有的几位一直坚持描绘西藏的画家之一。他的艺术道路走过风情画时期，画过西藏肖像画系列，直到最近的西藏动物系列，他对雪域高原的关注长达十多年，也几乎走遍了西藏的各地，包括阿里这样的无人区。西藏的风情、人情、地理、地貌都成为他艺术的源泉，西藏成为他精神的圣地。他以教徒般敬畏上帝的心态来刻画西藏，来诠释他对西藏的思考。
在日益商业化的艺术界，在充斥着的越来越功利化和世俗性的当代商业化的社会。李光林所表现的世界是充满野性和的生命活力的世界。他的作品代表着一种强悍的生命力量，为艺术舞台带来新鲜的空气， 同时让我们聆听来自雪域高原遥远回声。
Li Guanglin, born in Liaoyang, Liaoning province. He is the member of China Artists Association and Liaoning Artists Association. Now he is a professional artist, living in Beijing.In 1984, Li was enrolled in the oil department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.From 1996 to 1998, he furthered his studies at the senior training class in China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
His works were collected by the collectors from the US, France, Holland, Australia, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore; some of his works were published in the country-level newspapers and magazines, such as China Contemporary Art Series, China Oil Magazine, China Cultural Daily, Art Observation, Tibet Geography, Chinese Business Leader, partner, broker, etc.
